Rockets on Wire – I am not your home Music Review

Rockets on Wire – I am not your home Music Review Rockets on Wire – I am not your home– Rockets on Wire Bandcamp– Name Your Price Music Review by Brad Bugos – Host of SLTM (The Podcast) brad@fatrobotradio.com This Album was released by the band on their bandcamp site on October 31 2012. It’s a name your price release, but please give this fine band a few dollars, at least five for this wonderful LP. This is the full length debut from Long Island’s Rockets on Wire. It’s a real winner. Charming in it’s disappointed terry cloth of relationship crashes and heartaches. The band seems to be saying in it’s songs, that yeah my heart is broken and maybe I will die in my own sadness but I’d like to see you suffer and miss me before I go. Marie Mayes vocals are such a treat here, it’s that longing and heartbreak that catches your ear at first, but it’s the bitterness bordering on hatred that collapses around the listener, giving them a feeling of being okay with their heartbreak. This is a well woven record, with many sounds, temperatures of anger and resignation, with beautiful vocals that agree with the feelings you’ve had more than a few times in your life. The music feels like such a release, it’s telling the listener it’s okay to feel this way, don’t take yourself away from these feelings, soak them in, feel them all, then the healing can begin. This is such a wonderfully written and sung record, there is no way you can listen to this even in a happy state of mind and not relate and enjoy it. I would recommend two songs for you that typifies what the band is about , listen to REPAST and WEDDING SONG together, they blend so well together and when Marie sings “You’re a liar and a thief and I want you to leave” you can feel it in your soul, this son of a bitch sold her a bill of goods and told her he would love her forever then wronged her. He’s cheated her, and it hurts. I’ve listened to this release many times, and every time it’s enjoyable, there are some solid rock songs with enough going on to keeping you tied to your Ipod. It’s well produced, the sounds don’t interfere with the overall sound picture and I love those vocals, that voice says so much besides the words on the table, I would listen to Marie sing...

Co-Workers Botched Plastic Surgery results in Broken Nose

Steve is such a company man, such a bitch boy that when he went in to have some plastic surgery he asked the doctor if he could get his lips permanently sewn to Carl’s ass. Steve told me once that he wasn’t an ass kisser, he just enjoyed moving Carl’s Lawn for free because he got to see a lot of other people from the office there. Steve and Carl won the three sacked leg race at the company picnic last year, boy were Steve’s lips chapped after that. Boy, let me tell ya, Steve is such an ass kisser, that he can tell what Carl had to eat two days before Carl even eats it! Boom… That’s my time,Thank you and to Steve, I say SUCK IT Piss Pack!
