Very Funny

Check out this link to the Super Deluxe web site. On it you will find Episodes of Derek & Simon directed by Bob Odenkirk. Each one is about four minutes long and usually pretty damn funny. The one with Michael Cera (who was great on Arrested Development) called Sweet Tits is good. They are all good really, so enjoy.

Old News, but does it end well?

Here’s an old review of my magazine SLTM (the Magazine) that I dug up the other day and I thought that I would share with all you Viagra and Porn spammers that flood my site. Enjoy it as much as I enjoy “hot anal fucking” and “grow your dick bigger and meatier”.

From Razorcake Magazine (don’t recall the issue) :

Silly Little Trouser Monkeys #20 8 1/2 x 11, newsprint, 20 pages.  This starts off like THE ONION, with the fake news headlines and what have you, but it’s just not very funny. And to think, there was so much promise with an article on the decline of cunnilingus rates. The Highlights are one guy who became disillusioned with Television when they canceled ALF, and another part where I not only learned how to make an Orange Julius, I also learned a short history of the Orange Julius.  – JOSH

And to think that I stopped publishing this magazine when all I ever got was positive reinforcement from magazines like this one. Actually Razorcake is a fine magazine, they just know shit when they see it and at least the guy read the issue. Fine work.

ZOROASTER – “Dog Magic” CD  Street date will be September 11th
Atlanta, Georgia’s heaviest band returns with their debut full-length album, “Dog Magic”! Picking up where they left off with their debut self-titled EP last year on Battle Kommand, Zoroaster return with a devastating album of epic psych-doom metal that truly showcases the bands massive progression over the last two years. Moog synths, theremins, haunting vocal choirs and even a brass section (!!) are brought to the table this time to add to the massive heaviness that protrudes from all angles of this beast-of-a-bands sound.

Truly innovative and totally devastatingly heavy, Zoroaster are here to let the world know that REAL doom metal is alive and well in the United States. Plans for extensive touring are in the works. “The Fucking Wrath play heavy-as-bricks, fast-as-lightning stoner punk

from the deepest depths of hell.” – Ventura County Reporter, Ventura CA

Goodfellow Records is pleased to welcome the sonic destruction of The Fucking Wrath to our extended family. The band has just finished up their debut for Goodfellow, to be titled Season Of Evil. The album will be released on Goodfellow this August, followed by some extensive road time.

The Fucking Wrath hosts members from bands such as Missing 23rd and Ox vs. Thunderbird but sound more like a cross between Cursed and Tragedy. Hailing from Montalvo, California, The Fucking Wrath consists of three long-time friends that all work in record stores and live on the same street.  While the members have each been playing in bands for more than ten years, The Fucking Wrath formed a year-and-a-half ago as a result of jamming for fun after work.

Since their initial gig in November of 2005, they have played nearly 70 shows to date, including the No Idea Fest IV in Florida.  The band recently completed a five-and-a-half week U.S. tour with Glass and Ashes and is set to embark on another nation-wide tour with Ox vs. Thunderbird in the summer of 2007.  Some of the notable bands that they have played with include Tragedy, Coliseum, Planes Mistaken for Stars, Das Oath, Adolescents, and Dr. Know among others.

Fueled by healthy doses of THC and a proclivity for loud music, the group headed to the studio and recorded their album, Season of Evil during the week of 6/06/06, which is due to be released on Goodfellow Records.  The band’s sound can be described as an amalgamation of groups such as Tragedy, Black Sabbath, and Kill ‘em All-era Metallica.

The Fucking Wrath consists of Craig Kasamis: guitar/guttural onslaught, Nick Minasian: bass/visceral ravaging, and John Crerar: really heavy drums.

OBITUARY EXCLUSIVE I-TUNES PROMOTION

Candlelight Records together with I-Tunes will premiere the first song from Obituary’s upcoming new album Xecutioner’s Return via an advance single.  “Evil Ways” will be available for purchase starting July 31 and for fans will be the first and only advance listen of the album set to hit North American stores on August 28.

Tampa-based Obituary featuring vocalist John Tardy, guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Frank Watkins, drummer Donald Tardy and new guitarist Ralph Santolla are one of the genre’s most respected and successful bands. Formed in 1985, the quartet have released six critically-acclaimed albums that have to date sold nearly one million copies in the United States.
Regarding the band’s new cooperation with Candlelight Records Frank Watkins says, “we are very excited to be part of Candlelight Records. This will mark a new chapter in death metal history.” John Tardy says, “”we are really looking forward to having a record company that wants to work with us. We feel rejuvenated and this new album is gonna be sick!” Donald Tardy adds, “”we couldn’t be more pumped about teaming up with Candlelight. It is an unbelievable feeling to know that a record company cares about our music as much as we do.”

Album art for Xecutioner’s Return was created by artist Andreas Marshall. Marshall has worked with the band for The End Complete and their most recent record Frozen in Time. The album was produced by the band with mastering completed at Morrisound Studios in Tampa on June 16.

Obituary will embark on a headline tour of the US on September 11.  Tour details will be announced shortly.
