Here is the full interview we did with Curtis Smith of Maelstrom PR on Episode 63 of Fat Robot Radio. We try to keep the interviews short so that we can get the episodes down to 30 to 35 minutes in length. However, we feel that the interviews are very interesting and informative and that the listeners should hear the whole thing.

Here are two clips from Brad Bugos during his days at Lake Land College WLKL 90 FM. The clips come from a program Brad did while at Lake Land (1988-90) called College Spotlight Program.
It was a program Brad created to give more airplay to Bands and Artists that didn’t get the time and airplay on the station. In these two clips, Brad talks about the bands ALL and Sloppy Seconds.

Brad Bugos interview of Hank Powers on WLKL

This is the interview I did with Hank Powers of Wooden Igloo (New Hampshire) back on October 12 1989. It was the first on air interview I did and the first interview I did with someone in music. Hank was really cool. He became a friend over the years and was the catalyst for the magazine I self published. A great guy, a damn fine guitar player and a good friend.

Now, in the audio you might notice that during Hank’s parts I’ve boosted the sound so that his voice can be heard. I had to do that because we recorded the interview over the phone line at WLKL and the sound was always a little low. I hope it doesn’t throw off the interview in any way, but I felt it was necessary to boost Hank’s voice so you could hear him properly.

Enjoy. I’ve got more old tapes to go through, maybe something else interesting will pop up. If not, I’ll just keep posting old clips of myself on the air.

Here’s more great stuff from Brad Bugos’ early days in radio. This clip is a bit long, somewhere around 7 or 8 minutes, so digest what you can. You’ll also hear the melodic tones of his former college radio partner (The Thursday Jam) Matt Sowder. Also popping up is the somewhat annoying but sweet voice of Tonya Brown. Enjoy this clip. New Shows slightly delayed

There will be new shows this month (by that I mean September 2008). I’ve gotten a little behind because of work and what not, but I will be recording new shows this week. There is a chance I can get some more overtime at work, and that is really rare, So I am taking all the overtime I can handle.

So, New shows, I promise next week September 8th.Â That will start a flood of new shows for the fall.Â So stay tuned. LOTS of new Music to play.Â Many Thanks to Jerry Dir at Phratry and Dave at Earsplit for sending a bunch of really good stuff too play. Stay tuned for Episode 57 of SLTM (the Podcast) next week.
